Default Can't find my SQL Express

On page 15 trying to add the data base I get the following dialog even though 2008R2 express is installed on my Windows 7/64bit machine, and being used by several applications. I am using VS2010 pro.

Any ideas?

In VS2010 Tools=>Options=>Database Tools=>Data Connections I changed the Instance name to match my Sql express installation.
