Default Upgrade SQL Express to SQL Server

Are there any implications I should be aware of when upgrading SQL Server Express to more sophisticated editions of SQL Server?

Can you let me know what problems I may encounter or describe any issues you may have encountered?

Thanks

To my knowledge, the only thing that a full-blown SQL Server does not support is the dynamic attaching of database files. You need to explicitly create/attach a database to a full SQL Server instance. Otherwise the full server supports all the stuff the express one does plus loads more.

Hi Peter or others,

I am using the WROX book "Beginning ASP.NET 2.0 with C#", and am referring to the bottom of page 663 in Appendix B.

I am a real newbie, but trying to use the SQL Server 2005, which I downloaded, rather than the SQL Express. On this page, it mentions steps to connect the database to the ASPNET server for the Wrox United training website. The steps are unclear to me. For step 1, it says to add (my machine)/ASPNET and NT AUTHORITY/NETWORK SERVICE as logins. Where do I do this, the WROX site, SQL SERVER 2005 or the VWD 2005 (Express)? I tried several different ways of doing this, but it did not work. I was able to add Network Service account, as it says in the book, but I could not add another account.

Thanks for any help you can give.
