Hi,

I'm a seasoned web developer but without any real experience managing domains and/or Active Directory, so I'm really stumped here.

I've successfully done every step up until the Configure Remote Debugging. I have followed every instruction to the letter, but when I go to "Run the Visual Studio Remote Debugger" service, I get an error that says: Could not configure the remote debugger service. The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted. [It does exist and it is called dev.MyDomain.local]

I created two user accounts in the Guest Active Directory - SPDeveloper and the same logon as my Host account, wallej03 - added them to Domain Admins, set them to Logon as Service, shared to them the ISAPI and wwwroot folders, and copied the files into the c:\debug folder (no sharing indicated).

All of my DNS settings are according to the book's suggestions, so what could the problem possibly be?
