Default Probelm With Visual C# 2008 Shutdown - Resart

When I Shutdown my server it restarts instead of shutting down

Hello. I have a Dell PowerEdge 1950 Server. I did a fresh installation of windows server 2003 Enterprise Edition 64Bit. I then shutdown the server and it correctly shutdown. I installed Visual C# 2008 as my first programm on the server. I then clicked Start > Shutdown and it did not shut down how it was ment to. It RESTARTED! This has somthing to do with Visual C# 2008 as its the only programm on my sevrer. Does anyone elese have this problem and is there a fix. Thanks. Doom

Here is my computer spec just incase you need to know it
Computer Spec
Quad Core 2GHz 64Bit Processor
4GB DDR II Memory
2 x 73GB SAS 15K Hot-Swap Hard Drives
CD RW Optical Drive

I have encountered the same problem just like you, and after I shut down the computer in CMD window and then it begin to normal again:D

Hi there. I tried everything to fix this. I then upgraded to service pack 2 for windows server 2003 (ontop of R2) and installed a load of updated from microsoft. Amazingly it work. The problem was fixed
