Default Remote database connection

Hi All,

I currently have a online members application written in ASP which is setup to run along side their custom software application which holds membership details.

The way its setup is a admin section has been built that searches for membership details on the sybase (sql anywhere 5.0 database) displays the results and by clicking activate i copyies the data over to the website database (mySQL) and vice versa if a member has updated their membership online it copies back to the sybase.

Everthing works perfectly but have had a major snag as we were planning to host it internally but due to bandwidth issues and reliability in the area for a large connection doesn't look likely.

Is it posible to connect via ODBC to the sybase database when required to copy data forwards and back?

If not does anyone know a good way to get over this?

Thanks in advance
