Default Can't use gif image

i'm trying to insert a "gif" image into my crystal report by simply right clicking on the report and selecting "insert --> picture".

When the "Open" window pops up, I noticed that there doesn't seem to be a category to open up gif file types so I simply selected "All Files". I then try to select a gif file but nothing happens. I then right clicked on my gif image and chose "Select" from the menu but crystal still won't open it. If I try to insert a jpg or tif image file, it seems to work fine, but these gif images aren't appearing.
Am I doing something wrong or does crystal simply not support gif images (which I would find to be extremely difficult to believe they would release 10 versions of crystal already and never add in support for gif image files). Is there a work around to this problem?

Thanks in advance.
