I'm trying to code a testing application for my company's website which will try out all combinations of option buttons, list-box selections etc to make sure everything works out as expected.

Unfortunately I've hit a brick wall when faced with the GIF "random security code generator" image. Could someone please detail how to decrpyt the text in the gif? Any API functions or similar that can be used to assist in this goal?

I believe that to do this is virtually impossible.

You would need a means of locating straight lines in an image; such algorithms exist, but they are pretty complicated.

Having that in hand, you would need to recreate the image repeatedly, with every permutation of removing lines implemented (one without line_1, one without line_2, one without line_1 and without line_2, etc., up to the number of lines that were detected).

Then each of those images would need to be passed through Optical Character Recognition.

I think you’re going to need the help of the CIA, the FBI and MI6...

I tried CnetSDK. Easily find a demo project for how to extract text from a GIF image. In addition to text extraction from GIF, other raster image file formats are available, such as extracting text from PNG, TIFF, BMP, GIF, and so on.
