using vb.net and trying to use the built in version of CR. i have a dataset of just one record that i want to print out (the record will change) and i have tried to see if there is a template set up for this. the mail labels didn't quite work out and the form and form letter didn't either. isnt' there a template where you can tell it to place it on the form free-form style and not tabular.

i can drag them on to the page 1 by 1 but there must be a faster way that i am missing. also, isn't there any way to get the labels for the fields to come at the same time as the fields come (like they do when you create a tabular format.

any help would be appreciated. i'm about ready to go back to using Reporting Services but wanted to try out CR to compare it to RS. so far it is losing badly but i have a feeling it is because of my lack of experience with it.

also, isn't there any aligning of a group of labels at once?
