Default Yet another insert nightmare.

I am getting the problem entitled "Dreamweaver adds translator code to document source code" which macromedia has posted at http://www.macromedia.com/support/dr...lator_code.htm. I have Dreamweaver 6.0.

Dreamweaver offers condolences and recommended work-arounds, but does not offer a patch except the sale of version 6.1.

Does anybody know of a patch that I can use?

The problem: When server-side include is used between <script runat=server></script>, Dreamweaver converts the include text as follows:

<MM:BeginLock translatorClass="MM_SSI" type="ssi_comment"
 orig="%3C!--#include file=%22inc/include.inc%22 --%3E" fileRef="inc/include.inc"
 depFiles="file:///C|/MySites/asp/inc/include.inc">#993333
<MM:EndLock>

(just an example)

Macromedia recommends enclosing the original include statement within HTML comment codes.

I have Dreamweaver 6.0.

Dreamweaver offers condolences and recommended work-arounds, but does not offer a patch except the sale of version 6.1.

Does anybody know of a patch that I can use?

Thank you,

Do you have to buy the upgrade to 6.1?

I thought it was free.
