Default Dreamweaver and DSL - Please Help!!!

I can't upload some files and I'm wondering if it would have anything to do with the DSL that I just installed on my computer. The error message I get is:

"unable to create remote folder images/header/images/. 500 ": command not understood.

I can't go on until this is solved! Please help!!!

Hi there,

What code and/or component are you uploading? What Server Side language are you using? Depending on that, you may be better off posting in a forum like ASP, PHP etc as this is probably related to the upload process; not necessarily to Dreamweaver.

Cheers,

Imar

I'm trying to upload a folder of pictures. At first, i was just trying to update the files on the server. That didn't work, so I deleted the folder off of the server and tried to just upload where it would make the folder new. Neither worked, and this just started happening when I installed my DSL. Here is the error I get...

"unable to create remote folder images/header/images/. 500 ": command not understood."

Please try to help me! Right now, I have a site with no pictures in the header!

It's still not very clear what the problem is.

Are you trying to upload images through a Web page? Or are you using Dreamweaver's built-in FTP features to sync your site to your remote server?

Have you tried to use another FTP program to upload the images? And are you sure you're uploading to the right folders? images/header/images/ seems like an odd path to me....

I'm sorry. I was using Dreamweaver's FTP feature. It's always worked in the past... Last night, I tried to load the pictures to a different path (images/header/) and I was using the Internet Explorer way of FTP (ftp://domain.com). Here is the message I got from trying that:

FTP Folder Error
An error occurred copying a file to the FTP server. Make sure you have permission to put files on the server.
Details:
200 Type set to I
200 PORT command successful
500 'OR header_r2_c15.jpg' : command not understood

Did you enable (or disable) Passive Mode?

On the Site Definition panel for your site, under the Remote or Testing server, change the Use passive FTP setting and see if that helps.
