Default Beginning Dreamweaver 2004 Building Blocks

Hi,

I've just completed "BlockContent", page 568, and whilst it works there is a prob with the resulting image.
When I open buildingBlock. asp in my browser the image is not quite like the image on page 571 fig 15-40.
My image does not have the text "left graphic" etc around the borders of the frame. Also the small boxes within the frame do not show numbers as in the fig 15-40, my boxes are quite small, but at the bottom there are tiny red dots, which I assume are the start of the numbers. Can any one advise ??

Having said that, I don't think that the page as laid out in the book works. I downloaded the page and printed it out before constructing my own page, in order to compare.

Despite making at least 6 attemps my page was never the same as the downloaded version and my page never worked correctly. The page is not difficult to construct.

And there are differences within the book. In the dialog box the run time value is -----("section")
In the "How it works" page 572
the word section has "ID" attached

These differences do not help the beginner struggling to make sense
of it all.
May I suggest that the writer of this part of the book build the page himself from the book's instruction and compare the result with the download version.

Reagrds

Terry s

Terry,

I don't have much time to look into this right now, but I'll give it a try one of these days and see what happens when you follow the book step by step....

While typing this post, I was listening to: Shadows On The Mountainside by The Tea Party (Track 8 from the album: The Edges Of Twilight) What's This?
