Default dreamweaver mx table with a life of its own!

hi, i am very new to this, just working my way through the Dreamweaver mx book by Brown,Spaanjaars and Marks. Page 78.
When i try and insert a new table at the bottom of the page the window widens itself and places the new table at the top right next to the first top table. What have i done wrong and how can i get it to join onto the bottom. In the code page i do not see anything like a page break that they would have in word to indicate that you have reached the bottom of the page, how do you know?
Thanks in advance of your help.
A Novice.

Hi there,

Are you talking about the MX or MX 2004 version of the book?

And can you please post the relevant parts of your code? I am not sure what your problem is exactly, so providing some code might help.

Cheers,

Imar

Hi there,

Look at the second table in your page. See this?

<table width="100%" border="0" align="left" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">

The align="left" causes the table to be to the left of other content in the table. Hence, the new table you insert appears to float to the right of the first table.

Remove the align="left" attribute and things should work again.....

Cheers,

Imar
