Searching the forums on p2p.wrox.com
Have you ever noticed the "search" link in the menu bar on all of the pages on p2p.wrox.com? The drop down from that includes both a simple search box and an advanced search link.
If you have a question about a book or technology and want to see if something similar has been asked before, this advanced search link is your friend. It takes you to this page:
http://p2p.wrox.com/search.php
beyond just the usual search match types, the options there that are really helpful for forum searches are: - Searching for something on one specific forum instead of all the forums
- Searching either the entire message or just the subject
- searching by a date range
- searching for a post by which member posted it
I'd encourage every new member and infrequent participant to get familiar with this feature before posting a question. You just might find the answer!

Do you mean that nearly invisible, dark gray on black spot near the Go button? ;)
If you want to improve the discoverability of that link and the feature that's behind it, I think simply changing its color or appearance may be a lot more effective than posting a sticky note....
Cheers,
Imar

Hopefully in the new forums we just launched, the search features are even more visible and surfaced.
