Default Saving to the clipboard

I am trying to save the information in the text field to the clipboard. I keep getting errors. this is what I have so far

<form name="colorCodeForm">
<input type="text" name="colorText" value="#000000" size="6" readonly=true>
<input type="button" value="Copy to Clipboard" onclick="copyClipboard()">
</form>
<script language="JavaScipt">

function copyClipboard()
{
var colorText = document.colorCodeForm.colorText;

Thanks Joe, I must have been looking at it too hard thinking it was a big mess up and not something so simple.
