Hello everyone !
I downloaded Tomcat 5.5.17 and then I tried to start it with startup.bat . but it doesn't work.

I have J2SE installed on my computer .

What should I do?

Which version of J2SE do you have?
Have you correctly defined the port and did you add your tomcat into a server?

If you define it under 8080 and if your IIS runs under the same port then you can't make your Tomcat run on the same port (I assume that your OS is Win)

Your attitude determines your altitude

u may try to run tomcat at 8085 port if 8080 is being used by some other application. or u can stop all unnecessory applications and then start tomcat again.
