Andreasgr: In order to respond to this question, more information is needed. For instance, no pun intended: Is your vb tree structure going against a SQL db? The tables on the Oracle side, are they in the hierarchy structure or relational db structure? Like an old saying,"Anything is possible", it depends on how much work you want to put into it.

On the Oracle side I have nothing...The whole concept is to convert the tree from vb6 to Oracle or to make it access from Oracle for later use. The tree structure, and its philosophy, is very close to B-tree structure

Andreasgr: First examine Oracles class for the existance of the Tree View Control. If not present, then you must build the TreeView Control in Oracle 10g and that is very different. I dont have access to Oracle 10g, however here is an article, Using the TreeView Control and a Datalist to Create an online Image Gallery, http://aspnet.4guysfromrolla.com/articles/083006-1.aspx which is used in asp.net 2.0

The second thing to do is build the object model, which is hierarchy in structure. This is where the majority of your time will be spent.

Hope this helps.
