processes in php
is it possible for php to trigger an application or a process? and another one - can php "listen" for data that is sent and/or recieved from an application? well if the last seems little bit crazy consider the following: there is a database containing questions table where questions are located; now i want to edit an existing question in that table... but imagine that there is a 100 other users that have access to that table too and i want to create something that will lock the database for a one user at one time so that only one can change data at one time... i was thinking about transactions but i don't know where i should even start... if you guys have any ideas or suggestions how to achieve what i stated before please let me know some ideas you may come across... big thanx :))))) :D:D:D
