I would like to load multiple instances onto my sql server 2000 and I keep getting an error message.

the error message reads "the logged on account can cnot be validated for teh sql server services. Verify that teh user name and password are entered are correct. The login attempt failed."

How can I load sql server 2000 onto a Win XP stand alone machine?

Make sure the account you are using has the right permission on the server. Use a service account type as for your first instance.
