I was able to install a DVD installation of SQL Server 2005, SP 2 on my current PC without a problem. But when I tried to do the same install on my new computer, which has the exact same OS, I ran into the following errors:

Error #1
IIS Feature Requirement
MS IIS is either not installed or is disabled. IIS is required by some SQL Server features...

Error #2
Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Setup
An installation for this product Microsoft SQL Server Native Client cannot be found. Try the installation again using a valid copy of the installation package.

Error #3
Workstation Components, Books Online, and Development Tools
Failed to install

So because of these failures, SQL Server 2005 was unable to be installed.

Both PC's have an OS of Microsoft Windows XP Pro, Version 2002, SP2. So I have no idea what could be causing this problem. If anyone could help to point me in the right direction, that would be great. Thanks.

IIS is required if you try and install SSRS (reporting services) Uncheck Reporting Services and it will let you install without having IIS installed. If you must have SSRS, then install IIS first.
