I Have just installed Visual Studio 2005 Professional Edition . Everything worked fine except it failed to install SQL Server 2005 Express Edition with error as follows :

[11/30/05,17:02:48] VS70pgui: [2] DepCheck indicates Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition x86 is not installed.

What's wrong with my installation ?

Try downloading it from http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/sql/ The installer with VS2005 failed for me, I believe because my C:\Program Files directory was compressed. The interactive setup blocked me from putting data files in that directory.
