Default DB backup ?

Hi to all...
First time using SQL 2005...
When backing up DB and I check off "FULL" backup...
Does that backup DB and the log also or do I have to check off "LOG"
at the same time as "FULL"...

Thanking you in advance...

Rino

Default

The full backup does not back up the log. You will need another task to handle the log file.

Depending the catalog usage, you should backup the log file periodically throughout the day. As usage increases... back up the log more often.
