Default Moving from Sql 2000 to Sql 2008

hey i m a developer on vb and sql 2000..I found sql 2000 not compatible with 64 bit os..so i tht of using sql 2005/2008..So which books should i refer to move on to 2005/2008...Dont want a core one, just to build vb applications..us kno simple tricks like connection, creating,...Sp etc.

Really, you don't *HAVE* to use anything new, if you don't want to. SQL Server 2008 is upward compatible with SQL Server 2000 in *almos* all regards. Any query that work with 2000 should work with 2008. You might find some minor connection string differences, but once connected you should be fine.

Don't get me wrong, there are some nice new features in 2008, and ENVENTUALLY you should learn about them. But you don't have to know them to get started.
