Default Masked Edit Control

I'm trying to fomat my textboxes so that the user doesn't have to enter in the parentheses for the telephone numbers. I've been trying to use the masked edit control but when I run it I won't let me enter any information. I made sure that it's not set to read-only but that's obviously not the problem. Any suggestions?

Dedra;)
