Hi,

I got one problem, not able to make it whether its XP problem or vbscript problem or SMTP problem. Mail mails when sent using CDO/CDonts it gets queued in this folder C:\Inetpub\mailroot\Queue, when read articles related to this it says SMTP isnt qokring but my SMTP is working for sure 127.0.0.1 25 this works. And the strange part is i gave this script to one of my Collegue for testing and it worked there i checked his IIS settings are similar to mine ..

Would like some suggestions from you all..

           If you are using XP then make sure that IIS is configured to SMTP Services.

Hi Ganesh,

The problem could be due to your SMTP service not installed or running fine. Try this from your command prompt to check if your SMTP is fine. Remember SMTP should be configured/setup on the one that runs IIS.

Usage:
telnet <servername> <port>

Telnet ComputerName_OR_IP_Which_Runs_SMTP 25

If that connects then your SMTP is running fine. Else you got attend to that.

Make sure there are no software firewalls running, such as ZoneAlarm. They may prevent the SMTP service from sending by blocking the port.
