Default connect sql server in windows ce / ce .net

does anyone have such kinds of experience??
because i haven't any experience in developing application in ce platform, don't know how to connect sql server
is it the same as in windows platform (9x, 2000, xp)???
i have found a sql server ce edition, what's that and need to install on ce and synchronize with sql server???

I need to know this kind of knowledge too.

I am working for a company now, but they want me to develop a application running on Windows CE.NET smart device, so they can use it to check the inventory through wireless network.
