Looks like its time you talked to the network guys to see how they organise things within active directory and exchange to see if you can get some pointers. Personally I'm v.surprised that exchange can't resolve an NT login to an e-mail. Forget about ASP/CDO for the moment, are you saying that if you open Outlook and type in someone's NT login as the To of a new e-mail, then it gets bounced when you try to send it? Also, if you pick someone from the Outlook address book, check their properties, what SMTP addresses are shown on the Email Addresses tab?

When I type in the ntusername in the TO field it automatically resolves it to Lastname Firstname that happens in the To field when you tab to the next field.

As SMTP address for a user is used: [email protected]. I'm going to do as you say and contact our IT people but it's a big company and IT isn't really that keen on helping out with such issues. Another option that I've discussed with a colleague is that we have a database with all employee data. If I could link to that and get permissions I might get the e-mail address that way.

Another option is finding a list of logins with their Firstname, lastname and converting that to an smtp e-mail address.

I'll let you know if I can find a way.

As I said I will use another database in which the ntlogins are stored and their e-mail addresses. It's still a matter of permissions on that database now.

Thanks for you help!
