Default Can't find the Free Cbuilder Compiler at Borland

I'm reading this book, which I'm really loving and eager to get coding, but, I can't find the free C++ Compiler at Borland. The only things I find is the Borland® C++Builder® 2006 for $2500. When I think I've found the trial version, the link turns out dead.

Does anyone else know where I can find a free copy of the compiler?

Thanks for your time.

Hello,

It looks like Borland hosts their free downloads at CodeGear.com. Have you tried the links here:
http://www.codegear.com/Default.aspx?tabid=139

The links there don't appear to be dead, but they do require you to register before they give you the file.

I recently started the book and am also having problem getting the C++ compiler from Borland. The link from the book is automatically directed at the link you posted. I've registered as requested but afterwards the page updates itself to say:

"Invalid Product ID
Your account was found in the database, however, and invalid product id was provided."

The results are the same when I click on the link again and again. Anyone have any suggestions?

Yeah Shawn,

That's what I'm getting too. I was right in the middle to cruising through this book then I got hung up cause I don't have a C++ Compiler. I've searched and can't find one.

Wait,

I stand corrected. They have corrected the problem. They do have a Free Compiler and David is right, you must register (create a new account) to download it. It's working now. However, it wasn't at my first attempt.

Thank you David.
