Default More on Web Content Management?

Hi,

I found Beginning SharePoint 2007 a really excellent overview of the technology, the book has helped me get to grips with all the different aspects of SharePoint, but I am now looking for a more in-depth title for Web Content Management development and customization for developing Internet and Intranet sites that have a distinctive look.

Can anyone recommend a book to cover this and extend on chapter 13?

Thanks,

D

Hey Druk,

I am glad to hear you found our book helpful. As for books containing a deeper dive into WCM, I have the following recommendations:

Professional SharePoint 2007 Web Content Management Development
http://www.amazon.com/Professional-S...4361231&sr=8-1
This book should be the exact item you are looking for featuring input and content from a couple of the leading experts in the industry on web content management. Unfortunately it is not expected out till March 2008. But I recommend bookmarking it till then as you will want to get it for sure.

Real World SharePoint 2007http://www.amazon.com/Real-World-SharePoint-2007-Indispensable/dp/0470168358/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/103-1736468-9038238?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1194361402&sr=8-1
This book is actually available now and features a Chapter on creating publishing sites (by same author as book referenced above) and another on branding (written in part by my co-author on the Beginning SharePoint 2007). I have read this book myself and found it to be very good as it covers information across a variety of topics from a number of great experts.

I hope these recommendations are helpful.

Take care
Amanda
