Default Excel Services on SharePoint /Windows Comp Cluste

Hi,

I have just started reading about Excel Services and SharePoint 2007. I can see how it can be used to do things in Excel workbooks, such as importing external data (via the Refresh method), performing calculations and getting (setting) values from (in) cells and ranges. However, it doesn't appear to be able to perform other operations native to Excel / Office, such as copy and paste, changing formatting, etc.

My question: I have a VB6 .dll that loops through Excel files and performs these types of operations and I wonder whether this might be made to work as an Excel Service or using Windows Compute Cluster Server. I'm hoping to offload the execution of these operations to free up client machines. Is it possible to do this? Or do existing Excel Services methods not allow for this?

Many thanks in advance for your answers.

Regards,
Joshua
