Default Oracle Error

Hello,

I'm moving data from Oracle 9i to SQL Server 2000, in a DTS package. I have a Microsoft Provider for Oracle pushing to a Microsoft Provider to SQL Server, and I'm getting the following error when the package runs.

Error Detail Records: Error: -2147467259 (80004005); Provider Error: 0 (0) Error string: [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Driver's SQLAllocHandle on SQL_HANDLE_ENV failed Error source: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers Help file: Help context: 0

Any ideas? Could this be because I need to use the Oracle-specific provider instead, or something else? In my research, I found a lot of reasons.

Brian

Brian,
I have never seen this error before but I am using "Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Oracle" and it works fine. After you choose the driver, you must set the connection string by clicking on the Properties button.

Regards,

Actually, I was wrong, I was using an ODBC driver. I'll try the OLEDB instead.

Thanks.
