error oracle not available
Hi
I have 2 operating systems installed
1. windows 98
2. windows xp professional
I have installed oracle 8i on windows xp professional
For first time I was able to logon as scott with tiger as password.
But from next time whenever I am trying to logon as scott with tiger as password its giving following error
"
ERROR:
ORA-01034: ORACLE not available "
As per one of you's suggestion I have checked the services in administrative tools of control panel
my database name was "farhan" during installation.
1. Oracle TNSListener service status is started.
2. Oracle database FARHAN status is starting.
but not started.
Please help me how to logon to sqlplus now.
