I'm using VBnet 2005.
When I create a new connect, there is a error dialogbox:

Unable to open the physical file "C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\Data\master.mdf". Operating system error 32: "32(The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another proccess.)". An attempt to attach an auto-named database for file C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\Data\master.mdf failed. A database with the same name exists, or specified file cannot be opened, or it is located on UNC share.

Then I click OK, the connection dialogbox disappears.
I'm sure this path and file is correct.

I would try two things. First, stop and restart the SQL Server service (I am assuming that this is on your own box because I wouldn't recommend this otherwise). Second, if that doesn't work, reboot your pc.

I don't have Express at this location but I do at another location adn I will try this when I get there. I just tried this against my Developer Edition and it worked without a problem.
